  - A research article co-authored by Nastaran Hashemi, the William March Scholar in Mechanical Engineering, entitled "Optofluidic characterization of marine algae using a microflow cytometer" was one of the top 20 most read articles in Biomicrofluidics for the month of October. Nastaran wrote the article with Jeffrey S. Erickson, Joel P. Golden and Frances S. Ligler in September 2011. More
