Mechanical Engineering | Iowa State University

My research focuses on Computational Mechanics, Engineering, and Sciences with an emphasis on Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) problems. Currently, I am leading a research team at ISU working on interdisciplinary topics that find great pertinence in defense, medicine, and many other fields. We develop verified and validated modeling and simulation frameworks that integrate complex geometric design, multiphysics analysis, and optimization. Our methods provide effective use of computational FSI and high-fidelity analysis for exploring design space and enabling data-driven modeling. Our research has been funded by the DOD, NIH, DOE, NSF, industry, and foundations.
