Laser-assisted Advanced
Manufacturing
In laser material processing and
laser-assisted advanced manufacturing, the target under pulsed laser irradiation
could experience intense phase explosion, extremely high stress wave
generation/propagation, and solidification/recrystallization. Our atomistic
and atomistic-macroscale computations are designed to investigate these
phenomena and study the relation between them and laser irradiation
conditions and material properties.
